Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield
A jet transporting Pete Hegseth was required to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official announcement which verified that Hegseth was safe.
"The plane touched down following standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer stated in a online announcement.
He was traveling back from a quick journey to the city of Brussels during the flight.
This event does not mark the first occasion that a US military aircraft transporting a senior official has encountered equipment failures.
In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was compelled to return to the US capital after suffering a mechanical problem.
